You might have really made me crazy, you know
I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day,

Not New Years Yet...
Its really weird to me how much has changed this past year. Its odd having people come in and out of your life. Strange when you see someone almost every day for a year and then you dont see them for weeks. Or you look forward to talking to some everyday and now you feel that you cant. Or not being able to call someone and wish them merry xmas cause their not here. Or loosing someone you never got the chance to meet.
Ill be saying the same thing again next year too Im sure, but everyone holds a special place.

Cure for Aids?
CNN HIV AIDS cure - Article
Talk of germans finding a cure to aids. This is amazing I really hope this is true. I also hope it will be available to everyone. Aids has been killing people for years it's not right they should have spent more money and time on aids research a long time ago. Glad to see something is finally happening for these people they don't deserve to suffer.
Marina Car Wash on Lincoln shut down 6.6 Million Dollar Lawsuit
Today on my way home from work I passed my neighborhood car wash, which has been there since before I was born. I noticed that it was closed and gated up, and all the workers were out side with Car wash signs pointing away from the business. They held signs saying "laid off today with out notice". So I stopped to show some support and get a much needed car wash.
My mom used to work for this very same car wash in the late 80's and she had told me how they were underpaying her and when she asked about it, they fired her and accused her of stilling money. I can't even fathom that all these years later the same bs is still going on. One man there told me that they would have "lottery's" and they would hand out #'s, and who's ever # they called got their paycheck and if they didn't call your number better luck next week.
Luckily State prosecutors filed a multimillion dollar lawsuit against the owners. Tho I dont know what the men will get being that there all are hispanic men without legal papers. What's so mind blowing about all of this is the owners had 9 successful car washes and they also Owned Kois Restaurant. Which is a 5 star celebrity restaurant that does very well, and they never underpaid those employes only the lower class working man of the car wash, What a shame. Many of the men had their children and wifes also helping wash cars. 40 men were laid off. When I asked one of the men what he was going to do now .... He simply smiled and said " Pues me voy a buscar trabajo manana."
PLEASE: If you drive by or have time go give them a few bucks or get your car washed. Xmas is right around the corner this is terrible timing anything helps ... all of these men have families and some of them are the only household provider Im sure.

On a serious note.
I've come to realize that over thinking and putting to much pressure on things is not good. Just let things happen as they happen. You cant force anything just enjoy it for what it is... No need to fear the moment and complicate things.

Darby Crash (born Jan Paul Beahm) (September 26, 1958 – December 7, 1980)
Darby Crash was the lead singer of LA's old punk band The Germs. A lot of people may think this band is crap but for its time I think it was a great raw sound.
Darby was a very troubled person and no one really ever acknowledged how shity things were.Darby Crash was always saying he was gonna die young. He just wanted to be known and gone.He talked about suicide a lot and no one ever took him seriously.
On December 7th after playing a show Darby asked everyone and all his close friends to meet at Okie Dog in Hollwood a local hotdog joint. When no one showed he left and followed thru with a suicide pack he had with another friend he died and she didn't. He intentionally didn't give her enough heroin. The following day John Lennon was killed and he got no media time.
I tried to keep it brief but his story is really great, check out the book Lexicon Devil if you ever have time.

My thoughts on Straight Edge.
I was asked to post a blog on straight edge via formspring. My thought's on this topic are pretty scattered an might be hard blog so Ill try to be brief.
In its simplest form, straight edge is a philosophy of staying clean and sober: meaning refraining from using alcohol, tobacco, and recreational drugs. For some, this extends to not engaging in promiscuous sex, following a vegetarian or vegan diet, not using caffeine or prescription drugs.[1] The term was coined by the 1980s hardcore punk band Minor Threat in their song "Straight Edge."
- Wikipedia
I personally dont think straight edge needs to be so strict with rules about what you can and cant do. No sex no drugs no drinking is a little unrealistic , tho I don't think you should abuse or over do anything. I think the xxx life style is more about doing things in moderation. And further more the xxx "movement" has nothing to do with any of that in my eyes it's about the music. And not letting those three thing's effect shows and the way music impacts your life. For instance I dont goto shows to get laid or get fucked up I got for the music and friends and good times. There is nothing better then a room full of sweat, stage dives, loud music, banging heads and everyone in the room is stoked and happy and chillin, and you wont understand that feeling unless you've been there and had it.
Straight edge has changed so much as a whole , it once was about music and moderation in my opinion and now they have xxx gangs and all kinds of bs, those kids suck get over it You can lead whatever kind of life you want and that awesome but who are you to tell someone else how to live their live. Some of my favorite bands are straight edge and I still hold a lot of respect for people that choose that life style.

I was "straight edge" for a few years I never said I would be xxx forever, but at that time in my life it really helped me with not getting involved with hardcore drugs or other things like many of my friends did. Im really big on moderation due to being straight edge. Tho now I "party" I'm never excessive and never will be. I dont need anything to have a good time its simply just a choice to drink or not to. As far as the NO sex goes I think its BS you can do what ever you want just dont go over board.

A Little Broken.
Wait, do you see my heart on my sleeve?
It's been there for days on end
And it's been waitin' for you to open up
Just you baby, come on now, I'm trying to tell you just how I like to hear the words roll out of your mouth finally Say that it's always been me
That's made you feel a way you've never felt before
And I'm all you need and that you never want more
Then you'd say all of the right things without a clue
But you'd save the best for last like I'm the one for you
You should know that you're just a temporary fix
This is not rooted with you, it don't mean that much
And it's been waitin' for you to open up
Just you baby, come on now, I'm trying to tell you just how I like to hear the words roll out of your mouth finally Say that it's always been me
That's made you feel a way you've never felt before
And I'm all you need and that you never want more
Then you'd say all of the right things without a clue
But you'd save the best for last like I'm the one for you
You should know that you're just a temporary fix
This is not rooted with you, it don't mean that much
to me You're just a filler in the space that happened to be free How dare you think you'd get away with tryin' to play me
Why is it every time I think I've tried my hardest
It turns out it ain't enough, you're still not mentionin' love? What am I supposed to do to make you want me properly?
I'm takin' these chances and gettin' nowhere
And though I'm trying my hardest you go back to her
And I think that I know things may never change
But, despite the truth that I know
I find it hard to let go and give up on you
Seems I love the things you do Like the meaner you treat me the more eager I am
To persist with this heartbreak runnin' around

Thanks For...
Today's Thanks giving , this day really holds no meaning for me personally. I find it sad that people need a holiday to get together and be loving and thankful for things and each other.
Theirs many things I am thankful for.
Im probably most thankful for all the beautiful people in my life.
Individually I have amazing relationships with all of my friends.
Everyone in my family is unique and overs me something different.
I've learned and absorbed so much this year from all the people in and around my life.
Wether its the stranger I encountered a few month ago that made me cry just by looking me in the face and saying thank you. Or a new friend I've come to love and really appreciate, everyone has had huge impact.
now Im gonna ramble ...
A lot with my family has changed these last couple of years.
My great grandmother Maria passed away around this time almost 2 years ago. I wasn't the closest to her being her only great granddaughter I found it hard to connect to her being the youngest, but I never questioned the love she shared for me and everyone in my family. She loved every single person in a different way, and shared different relationships with everyone. Anyway holidays always make me think about my grandma. She always held everything together no matter what.
People in my family have always had there problems but grandma always made the holidays pleasant. She used to tell me how she would make one tea bag last for 7 cups of tea so every one got a cup during the depression.
She would start cooking for xmas and thanksgiving 2-3 days before, when I was a kid. She put her blood sweat and tears into our family meals and everything was always perfect.
No matter what every year we were always together cause of grandma. And I value that so much, but I dont think you need a Holiday to bring that kind of love out of people.
My grandma also used to mail me a card every year for EVERY holiday they always had cute cheesy saying in them and a 5$ Bill , honestly I miss the cheesy things and the holiday sweaters I hated as a kid. Now I know why she did it, and I miss it oh soooo much.
This thanksgiving I will spend it with just me and my mom due to family living in other states and some family just simply drifted.
The moral of this post... Is you dont need a "holiday" to be around and show thanks to the people you love wether its family or friends its okay to Love them everyday.
Plan sit down dinners just for the hell of it.
Get to know the people in your life.
My grandma Joey used to have mandatory dinner several times a week and if you weren't at the table by 6 you didn't eat. I HATED her for this as a teenager and just wanted to be out with my friends, but now I appreciate those dinners so much I got to know my family and value the meaning of family so much more cause of those dreadful dinners.
Now have fun stuffing your faces.
This is cheesy but my grandma loved her.
